Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women? Neither did I—until I saw it on the news. And now? I’m officially on a mission to help raise awareness. Because let’s be real, we rally for skincare, the best latte recipes, and the latest beauty trends… but what about our hearts?
I was today years old when I learned about Go Red for Women, and I need to talk about it. This isn’t just another awareness campaign—it’s a full-on movement by the American Heart Association to educate, empower, and save lives.
👠 Why It Matters:
- Heart disease is the #1 killer of women—more than all cancers combined.
- Women’s symptoms can look very different from men’s. (Hint: It’s not always the dramatic chest-clutching scene from movies.)
- Most of us don’t even realize we’re at risk until it’s too late.
🩺 What We Can Do:
1️⃣ Know the signs. Shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, jaw pain—these can all be warning signs.
2️⃣ Check in with your heart health. Get that blood pressure checked. Don’t ignore weird symptoms.
3️⃣ Wear red, spread the word, and support the cause! Red is the new black when it comes to saving lives.
I love this movement, and you’ll see me talking about it more. Check out Go Red for Women and let’s make heart health a priority. ❤️
