The first thing that came to my mind?
“This prompt is a joke.”
There, I said it. Loud and clear for the people in the back.
Don’t get me wrong—I’m all for a good writing challenge. I’ve written about moon rituals, memory bears, skincare routines that rival celebrity regimens, and even how to look put together while mentally unraveling. But this? “Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind”? That’s not a prompt. That’s what happens when you forget your grocery list and end up impulse-buying seaweed chips.
Still, the blogging streak must go on. Because Voguegenics doesn’t ghost its readers. We show up—even when the writing prompt clearly took a personal day.
So here it is: the first thing that came to my mind was I don’t have time for this, but I’ll make time anyway. That’s what we do around here. We turn chaos into content, snark into strategy, and throw glitter on the absurd until it sparkles like it had a plan all along.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got about forty-seven tabs open and at least three semi-decent ideas for posts that actually matter. But hey, thanks for the filler, prompt. You did your job. Kind of.
🗓️ Day 170 and Still Going Strong!
This post marks my 170th consecutive day of publishing on Voguegenics. That’s 170 days of showing up—rain, shine, burnout, bad hair days, and uninspired writing prompts. Whether it’s glow-up guides, career comebacks, or sassy daily rants like this one—I’m here, I’m typing, and I’m still hitting publish. 🎯✨
If you’re wondering what kind of chaos-fueled discipline powers this streak, you’re in good company. Stick around. The next 170 days might just be even more fabulous.
