What job would you do for free?

(Aside from professional macaron taster or official sequin quality inspector.)

If I could do any job for free—and let’s be honest, I pretty much already am—it would be this.

Creating Voguegenics.
Building V’Empower.
Reminding women they are more than their labels, their stretch marks, their LinkedIn titles, or the year they stopped recognizing themselves in the mirror.

I’d do this—writing into the wee hours, coaching, posting, podcasting, helping women take back their power—even if it only paid me in dopamine hits and digital applause.

And so far, it mostly has.

My grand total income from Voguegenics? Three shiny cents.
Yes. $0.03.
I’m not even sure where it came from—maybe a rogue click on an affiliate link, maybe the universe trying to be funny—but I salute whoever made it happen. You are officially a Voguegenics benefactor. 😂

Meanwhile, I’ve poured in the equivalent of a small island’s GDP in time, energy, design tools, platform fees, late-night lattes, and an unholy number of Canva drafts. I’ve invested in this with my whole heart, my brain (even the part that sometimes glitches post-injury), and every ounce of glow I’ve got left.

Why?
Because this matters.

Because I know what it’s like to lose yourself in caregiving, chaos, comparison, and crisis. I’ve been the woman holding everyone else up with mascara-streaked cheeks and no idea who she is anymore.
And I want Voguegenics to be the place that helps you come home to yourself.

So yes, I’d do it for free. But if you’d like to literally help keep the glow-up going, you can buy me a latte at voguegenics.bio. ☕✨

Think of it as a tip jar for glow-ups and giggles, truth-telling, sequins, and self-reinvention. Every drop supports more content, more care, and more caffeine-fueled encouragement for women everywhere.

This is my passion.
This is my calling.
And apparently… it’s also a $0.03 empire in the making.

I do this job because I love it. Because I believe in it. Because watching someone reclaim their fire is worth more than any paycheck.

But I mean… a latte wouldn’t hurt. 😉

Cheers to building something beautiful anyway. 💕

Dorey Duncan Scott Senior Litigation Paralegal
Hi! I’m Dorey Duncan Scott, a mother of three, wife and fashion entrepreneur. I started my career in fashion back in the early 90’s when I did print, still and runway modeling. I studied Fashion Merchandising, Music Business and Marketing, while also obtaining certificates in such industry-necessary areas such as make-up, styling and runway choreography. In addition, I had work as a spokesmodel for several brands, appearing in print and in person. As a former model, turned senior litigation paralegal, artist manager and on-air personality with a passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development, I bring a unique combination of style, strategic thinking, and legal expertise to my work. My years navigating the legal world have sharpened my attention to detail, while my experience and passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development drives my desire to help others feel empowered and help them in their journey toward self-empowerment. My experience in the fashion world has taught me the power of confidence.
