Because the clutter in your head matters just as much as the clutter in your hallway closet.

There’s something weirdly satisfying about spring cleaning.
Like, yes—I will absolutely rearrange my spice rack, deep clean the junk drawer, and pretend I’m auditioning for a minimalist documentary. But the older I get, the more I realize that the real mess isn’t in my closet. It’s in my calendar. In my group chats. In my own dang head.

So this year, I took spring cleaning one step further:
I started decluttering emotionally.

Not in a dramatic, quit-my-life kind of way (although tempting), but in a quiet, intentional, “I deserve better energy in my orbit” kind of way.

🧹 Things I Let Go of This Spring:

1. Guilt Over Rest

If I need to nap in the middle of a Tuesday, I’m going to do it—without explaining, apologizing, or overcompensating later. Productivity guilt is soooo last season.

2. Conversations That Go Nowhere

You know the ones. The relationships that never grow. The texts that drain instead of energize. If the vibe is always off, I’m not the fixer anymore—I’m the exit.

3. The Word “Should”

I should work out. I should post more. I should be further ahead.
Nope. I’m should-ing all over myself and it’s officially banned. Either I want to, or I don’t. Period.

4. Perfectionism Dressed as “Standards”

Yes, I love a high bar. No, I don’t need to lose sleep over whether my Instagram grid is symmetrical. Done is the new perfect.

5. The Comparison Loop

That mental spiral where someone else’s highlight reel makes you feel behind in your own life? I’m unsubscribing from that programming. Comparison is not the vibe.

The truth? Some of the hardest things to declutter are invisible.
You can’t toss emotional baggage in a donation bin. You can’t Windex your way out of burnout. But you can notice what weighs you down—and gently, firmly, let it go.

Spring isn’t just about resetting your space. It’s about resetting your peace.

💡 What are you letting go of this season? A grudge? A grueling schedule? A giant pile of matching socks you hate folding? Drop it in the comments—or just write it down and walk away. You’re allowed to want more space, inside and out.
