What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

Some people say they can’t live without their phone, their coffee maker, or that ugly-yet-sentimental sweatshirt from college. Me? I like to think my essentials have a little more flair—because a life without a touch of luxury, a bit of drama, and a perfectly curated aesthetic? Unacceptable.

1. My Louboutins

There’s something about that red sole that just hits different. Whether I’m walking into a courtroom, onto a stage, or down the runway of life itself, my Louboutins are more than just shoes—they’re confidence, power, and a reminder that no matter where I go, I belong there. They’ve been with me through music tours, step-and-repeats, and those high-stakes moments where standing tall (literally and figuratively) was non-negotiable.

2. My iPhone (and its Notes App, obviously)

Let’s be honest—my iPhone is practically an extension of my hand. But more specifically, the Notes app is my lifeline. Blog post ideas, business strategies, random late-night epiphanies—it all lives there, keeping my world organized (or at least making me feel like it is). If I lost my phone, I’d probably need a full-blown search party and a week of silent reflection to recover.

3. My Signature Look

Some people have a lucky charm; I have a signature look. It’s that perfect combination of sleek tailoring, effortless glamour, and a “yes, I did wake up like this” energy. Whether it’s a structured blazer, an impeccably draped dress, or an expertly styled sequin moment, my look isn’t just fashion—it’s armor. And no look is complete without my winged eyeliner and the perfect lipstick. That precise flick of liner? It’s not just makeup; it’s strategy. The bold lip? A power move. Because no matter what’s happening, when I look put-together, I am put-together. And let’s be real, perception is half the battle.

At the end of the day, these aren’t just objects—they’re extensions of who I am. They help me step into the world with confidence, creativity, and a touch of unapologetic glamour. Because life isn’t just about getting through the day; it’s about showing up, owning the moment, and doing it all in style.

Hi! I’m Dorey Duncan Scott, a mother of three, wife and fashion entrepreneur. I started my career in fashion back in the early 90’s when I did print, still and runway modeling. I studied Fashion Merchandising, Music Business and Marketing, while also obtaining certificates in such industry-necessary areas such as make-up, styling and runway choreography. In addition, I had work as a spokesmodel for several brands, appearing in print and in person. As a former model, turned senior litigation paralegal, artist manager and on-air personality with a passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development, I bring a unique combination of style, strategic thinking, and legal expertise to my work. My years navigating the legal world have sharpened my attention to detail, while my experience and passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development drives my desire to help others feel empowered and help them in their journey toward self-empowerment. My experience in the fashion world has taught me the power of confidence.
