Last night, Kentucky faced devastation that no one should ever have to witness—17 lives lost in Laurel County, homes flattened, dreams scattered across wind-swept roads and broken tree lines. Somerset, London, and surrounding communities are now waking up not to normalcy, but to grief, rubble, and the hard work of recovery.
There are moments when style, skincare, or social media posts take a backseat. This is one of them.
Today, all I want to say is: we see you.
To every family who has lost someone they love—your sorrow is not invisible. To those who huddled in bathrooms, basements, closets—clutching children, pets, or the hands of a neighbor—you are strong beyond measure. And to the helpers already digging through debris, organizing supplies, and comforting others: you are the hope we hold onto.
Voguegenics was created to uplift, to empower, and to remind people of their strength. And strength isn’t always pretty—it’s not always polished. Sometimes, it’s dirt-streaked and tear-soaked and still standing. Sometimes it’s just showing up, hour by hour, when everything around you has fallen apart.
If you’re in Kentucky today, or love someone who is:
We’re lighting candles for you.
We’re praying, donating, and amplifying your stories.
We are with you—even from miles away.
And if you’re someone wondering what to do right now, here’s how to help:
