Daily writing prompt
When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?

Let’s just start with the obvious: today’s writing prompt is basically yesterday’s with a different outfit.
“Tell us about a risk you took.”
Didn’t we just do this?

Listen, I’m all for a good soul-searching prompt, but this feels like that friend who texts, “You up?” at 11:59 PM when you definitely just answered them last night. And we’ve all evolved past that phase, haven’t we?

So instead of rehashing the same old “took a chance, found my sparkle” story (spoiler alert: she did, and she’s thriving), I want to talk about a risk I took that was less visible—but just as transformative.

I started moon-charging my intentions.

No, not in a crystal-ball, cauldron-stirring, “eye of newt” kind of way (though I wouldn’t say no to the aesthetic). I mean I started aligning my goals and energy with lunar phases. Yes, full moon, new moon, waning, waxing—those cosmic girls.

I’ll admit, it felt weird at first. There’s something undeniably vulnerable about sitting under a night sky, asking the moon to witness your intentions. It felt like a risk.
Not financially. Not physically. But emotionally.
A risk of faith. A risk of being seen—even if it’s just by the universe.

And yet, every time I light a candle, charge my crystals, or write my intentions under the soft glow of the moon, something clicks.
It’s quiet.
It’s grounding.
It’s a reminder that my timeline doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s—and that power doesn’t always roar. Sometimes it hums under moonlight.

Has every single intention manifested perfectly? No.
But have I become more intentional, more reflective, and more in tune with what I actually want? Absolutely.

So today, I’m not going to tell you to climb a mountain or quit your job to chase some dramatic risk. I’m going to tell you this:

Sometimes, the biggest risk you can take is slowing down long enough to listen to yourself.
And if the moon wants to be part of that moment?
Let her.
