Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Ten years from now, I see myself exactly where I’ve always belonged: standing in a life I designed with intention, resilience, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. The hair? Flawless. The lipstick? Bold. The vibe? Unbothered.

But let’s zoom out a bit.

In ten years, I imagine Voguegenics isn’t just a website—it’s a movement. A fully trademarked empire with global reach, glittering collaborations, a podcast that’s probably banned in five countries for being too empowering, and a team that knows not to schedule anything important before I’ve had my Lunar Glow Latte™. (Which, of course, is now available in stores and featured in a skincare collab. You’re welcome.)

I see myself writing more books—not because I have to, but because the words won’t leave me alone until I do. I’ll be speaking on stages (preferably ones with good lighting and velvet curtains), mentoring women through the aftermath of chaos, and showing them how to style their scars into sequins.

Will I still be on social media? Probably. But only if I can hologram myself into TikTok lives and the algorithm finally favors mood swings and monologues.

Personally? I hope I’m at peace more often than I’m at war—with myself, the world, or my Wi-Fi. I hope Derek is healthy. That my kids are thriving. That laughter is still loud in our home. And that I still believe the best version of me hasn’t even arrived yet.

In ten years, I’m not looking for a new version of me. I’m simply becoming more of who I already am.

And I really, really hope I’m still blogging. Because some stories deserve to be told in sequins and italics.

Dorey Duncan Scott Senior Litigation Paralegal
Hi! I’m Dorey Duncan Scott, a mother of three, wife and fashion entrepreneur. I started my career in fashion back in the early 90’s when I did print, still and runway modeling. I studied Fashion Merchandising, Music Business and Marketing, while also obtaining certificates in such industry-necessary areas such as make-up, styling and runway choreography. In addition, I had work as a spokesmodel for several brands, appearing in print and in person. As a former model, turned senior litigation paralegal, artist manager and on-air personality with a passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development, I bring a unique combination of style, strategic thinking, and legal expertise to my work. My years navigating the legal world have sharpened my attention to detail, while my experience and passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development drives my desire to help others feel empowered and help them in their journey toward self-empowerment. My experience in the fashion world has taught me the power of confidence.
