There’s a place I never want to visit, and it’s not listed on Expedia.
It’s the kind of place that makes you feel small, unseen, and somehow less.
Anywhere that demands you dim your light to make others more comfortable.
Anywhere that confuses appearance with worth, noise with knowledge, or power with value.
Sure, there are destinations with temperatures I wouldn’t survive and bugs that fly with far too much enthusiasm—but that’s not what I’m talking about.
The real no-go zone? It’s the kind of space where authenticity is treated like a flaw and peace feels like a luxury you have to earn. No passport required—just a slow erosion of your spark.
And that’s a trip I’ll respectfully decline.
I don’t want to simply go places. I want to grow into them. I want to walk into a city, a moment, or a memory and feel expanded by it—not erased.
So if it costs me my voice, my values, or my inner glow, it’s not on the itinerary.
