Yes, I vote. With lipstick on, a latte in hand, and a fire in my soul that burns hotter than my flat iron on wash day.
Those who know me already know this: I take voting very seriously. As in, I mark Election Day on my calendar in bold, underline it twice, and treat it like the civic Super Bowl it is. I’ve never skipped one—and I never will. Why? Because I’m standing on the shoulders of women who marched, rallied, and risked everything just so I could have the right to walk into a polls like I own the place (spoiler: I kind of do).
Leaving that right on the table? Not in this lifetime.
Here’s the thing that really gets me, though: people who will complain all day about the state of the world—but then don’t vote. They’ll rage on social media, they’ll whine in line at the grocery store, they’ll get mad at the headlines—but when it’s time to show up and make a choice that actually counts? Silence. Ghosted. Absent without action.
Voting isn’t just a duty. It’s power. It’s voice. It’s participation in the kind of future you say you want. And it matters every single time.
No, the system isn’t perfect. But neither is dry shampoo, and we all still swear by it like it’s gospel.
Casting a ballot might feel small, but it’s a ripple in a sea of change. And collectively, those ripples turn into waves.
So yes, I vote. I show up. I make noise with my checkmark. I honor the fight it took to get me there. And I do it all while sipping something iced, looking fabulous, and believing fiercely that my voice matters—because it does.
And so does yours.
🗳️✨ Wear the sticker. Make it count.

“Yes, I vote. With lipstick on, a latte in hand, and a fire in my soul that burns hotter than my flat iron on wash day.” – Right on sister! I totally agree about non-voters, such a tragedy they allow themselves to be muted so easily.
