Daily writing prompt
What do you complain about the most?

What do I complain about the most? Well, let’s talk about Wi-Fi that has a personality. It’s like my router has a secret vendetta against me. Why is it that the Wi-Fi always decides to take a coffee break the second I’m deep in a work meeting, binging my favorite show, or trying to share that one meme that’s guaranteed to make my friends laugh? And then there’s the email situation—oh boy.

Have you ever looked at your inbox and thought, ‘I swear I’m caught up!’ only for it to suddenly populate with 23 more ‘urgent’ messages that require immediate attention? Spoiler: they don’t. It’s a game of email whack-a-mole, where instead of feeling productive, I just end up refreshing my inbox over and over like a modern-day Sisyphus, hoping for some relief. I’d like to say I have it all under control, but honestly, it’s just a lot of buffering and deleting.

So yeah, if you need me, I’ll be over here trying to figure out which is worse: my Wi-Fi or my inbox.

Dorey Duncan Scott Senior Litigation Paralegal
Hi! I’m Dorey Duncan Scott, a mother of three, wife and fashion entrepreneur. I started my career in fashion back in the early 90’s when I did print, still and runway modeling. I studied Fashion Merchandising, Music Business and Marketing, while also obtaining certificates in such industry-necessary areas such as make-up, styling and runway choreography. In addition, I had work as a spokesmodel for several brands, appearing in print and in person. As a former model, turned senior litigation paralegal, artist manager and on-air personality with a passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development, I bring a unique combination of style, strategic thinking, and legal expertise to my work. My years navigating the legal world have sharpened my attention to detail, while my experience and passion for fashion, beauty, and personal development drives my desire to help others feel empowered and help them in their journey toward self-empowerment. My experience in the fashion world has taught me the power of confidence.
