- 1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ⅓ cup molasses
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar packed
- 1 egg packed

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
In a large bowl, beat together butter, oil, molasses, and both sugars until smooth.
Add egg and beat until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set.
Cool on a wire rack.
